Conor O'Brien

Life for Conor as an artist is best described by him" To me, art is an enigma which wants to be solved. It invites viewers to analyse, scrutinise and interpret it endlessly to decipher its true meaning. Art is one person's perspective, an expression of emotion, something that challenges and forces others to look twice.

I live in the Moy, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. I have just recently started to promote my artwork which consists of mainly acrylics and pencil on canvases as my medium. I concentrate on the human form, and use it to evoke mood and emotion.

I have always had a love and passion for art. From an early age, it was evident I had a naturally gifted, artistic ability. It was the subject I excelled in, maintaining an 'A' grade throughout my school years. After A-Levels, I advanced into university life to pursue a career in architecture at the School of Architecture and Design, University of Ulster, subsequently achieving a BA Honours qualification, followed by a year's placement working with Milligan Reside Larkin, Chartered Architects. Even though I gained invaluable experience, I felt that art, my true passion, was not adequately fulfilled by architecture. Following many sleepless nights and discussions with family and friends, I decided to embark upon a new direction in my life, by pursuing a career in art."

Lara Ellis


 

Lara Ellis a fine artist from Luray, VA of the United States of America. Specializing in photography Lara has a brilliant eye for enhancing different subjects of life through photography.

One of Lara's photos was Recently published in the 2011 Farmers & Merchant's Bank Callendar. Other photo achievements include 1st place winner of the 2007 Chincoteague Bay Trail's End Photo Contest and Second Place winner & an honorable mention in the 2006 Shenandoah Audubon Photo Contest.

Lara's recent collaborated piece of art was bond together by her graceful sharing with another artist. She agreed to allow the use of one of her photographs she had taken by another artist. The result would be expressed in a different yet similar way allowing another artist to use it as a reference photo in a painting. Where a great sharing begins and friendship binds and never ends.

New Featured artist is 1st place winner of the contest Byron Fli Walker . Byron is Contest Winner of "Fine Epic Art" Contest hosted by Angela Pari Dominic Chumroo

Measuring in at 6 ft. & a muscular 225 lbs., with a laid back personality, from Detroit, MI - Byron FLi Walker. He's a self-taught, disciplined artist. who enjoys painting portraits mostly. His given name denotes creativity, courage & confidence. He cleverly changed the spelling of his nickname 'Fly' (synonym:sharp) to 'FLi' (acronym: F.eel the L.ove & I.nspiration), infusing both terms into a pseudonym which he signs as a trademark symbolizing his standards of craftsmanship.

Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things,” so the verse in Philippians 4:8 says.

Art is one of the disciplines that God has led her to find depth of expression. It is as she studies His Word that she finds inspiration. It is as she expresses her faith and joy in painting that she seeks to applaud the Jesus Christ that she follows and lives for.

She began to paint and create art pieces using different media in 2003, accepting commissions for murals, and teaching arts and crafts at Christian schools. Twenty years prior, she designed store concepts and created various art and craft pieces, built theme and period-based playhouses, and practiced interior design.

At present, She is a life-skills volunteer teacher and trainer for indigent women with children and girls rescued from trafficking. She design bags and costume jewelry sets from natural, recycled and indigenous materials. Her fashion accessories designs are under the label PINOCOCO.
